Gensol Engineering Wins ₹968 Crore EPC Contract for 245 MW Solar Project in Gujarat
Gensol Engineering Limited, a leading player in India’s renewable energy sector, has secured a significant Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contract worth ₹968 crore for the development of a 245 MW solar photovoltaic project at the Khavda RE Power Park, located in the Rann of Kutch, Gujarat. The contract, awarded by an undisclosed public sector undertaking, includes three years of operations and maintenance services, marking another major step in the company’s rapidly expanding portfolio of solar energy projects.
This contract is Gensol’s second substantial win at the Khavda Solar Park this month, coming hot on the heels of another ₹1,063 crore order for a 275 MW solar project in the same area. With these two contracts, Gensol will be responsible for a combined 520 MW of solar capacity at the Khavda RE Power Park, which is poised to become the world’s largest hybrid renewable energy park. The scale of these projects not only reflects the growing demand for solar energy in India but also positions Gensol as a leader in the country’s clean energy transition. The Khavda RE Power Park, situated in the desert expanse of Gujarat’s Rann of Kutch, is a significant part of India’s push to increase its renewable energy capacity.
