Bhudevi Infra Plans Capital Expansion Amid Hyderabad Growth

Bhudevi Infra Projects is seeking shareholder approval to raise its authorised share capital from ₹6 crore to ₹10 crore, as the company moves ahead with a residential development in Hyderabad. The proposal comes shortly after work began on Bhudevi Aurum Phase-1 in Himayat Nagar, placing capital flexibility and regulatory clearances under closer scrutiny as the project progresses.

The board approved the proposed increase on September 2, taking the authorised share base from 60 lakh equity shares of ₹10 each to 1 crore shares of the same face value. The proposal will be placed before shareholders at the company’s 34th annual general meeting on September 30. An increase in authorised capital does not itself mean that new shares have been issued or that fresh funds have entered the business. Instead, it creates additional headroom for a company to raise equity later, subject to the necessary approvals and the terms of any future issue. For Bhudevi Infra, the timing is notable because its residential activity in Hyderabad has recently expanded. The company began development of Bhudevi Aurum Phase-1 at TGPA, Himayat Nagar, in August. Alongside the project, it has undertaken work on a 40-foot road and a 450-metre drainage network outside the project site. The company has indicated that the residential development could contribute around ₹170 crore in revenue over four years, although the projection remains dependent on approvals, execution and market conditions.

From an urban-development perspective, the infrastructure component deserves as much attention as the housing component. Roads and drainage capacity can influence access, flood management and everyday mobility in rapidly developing neighbourhoods. The quality and timing of such supporting infrastructure will therefore matter to existing residents as well as future occupants. RERA compliance and project approvals will be another key checkpoint. Telangana’s real estate regulator provides a public mechanism for checking registered projects, promoters and project details. However, publicly available information reviewed for this report does not establish that the proposed capital increase is specifically intended to meet a particular RERA requirement.

There is also no confirmed indication in the available corporate disclosures that the authorised-capital increase will immediately lead to a bonus issue or rights issue. Market databases currently show no recent bonus or rights action for the company. The next material developments will be shareholder approval, financing decisions and the regulatory progress of the Hyderabad project. For the city, the more important measure will be whether new housing growth is matched by adequate drainage, road access and other civic infrastructure.
