Adani Realty Grows Its Presence in Mumbai Redevelopment

Adani Realty is strengthening its presence in Mumbai’s redevelopment sector with major projects across the city. The company has secured its third major redevelopment project with the Motilal Nagar project in Goregaon (West). This project, undertaken under the Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA), is one of the largest redevelopment initiatives in Mumbai.
The Motilal Nagar redevelopment covers approximately 75 acres and includes residential and commercial properties, along with slum rehabilitation. Adani Realty has been selected as the construction and development agency (C&DA) for this massive undertaking. The total investment for the project is expected to reach ₹36,000 crore, making it one of the costliest redevelopment projects in Mumbai.
As part of the agreement, Adani Realty will provide MHADA with around 4.27 million square feet of built-up space. Reports indicate that Adani Realty outbid a leading construction firm to secure this deal. The project will rehabilitate 3,372 residential units, 1,600 slum dwellers, and 328 commercial units.
This redevelopment deal follows Adani Realty’s involvement in the Dharavi redevelopment project and a 17-acre redevelopment initiative at Bandra Reclamation. With these projects, the company is emerging as a key player in Mumbai’s growing redevelopment market. Experts believe that Adani’s large-scale projects will transform the city’s skyline and create modern, sustainable living spaces.
Mumbai’s redevelopment sector has been growing as developers focus on revamping old housing societies, slums, and commercial areas. With Adani Realty securing multiple large-scale projects, the company is set to play a significant role in shaping Mumbai’s future urban landscape.
