Jupiter Wagons Secures Rs 600 Crore Order from Ambuja Cement, ACC

Jupiter Wagons Limited (JWL) has secured significant orders from Ambuja Cement and ACC, valued at Rs 600 crore. The orders entail the manufacturing and supply of BCFCM rakes wagons, marking a major win for the company in the competitive wagon manufacturing sector.

Vivek Lohia, Managing Director of Jupiter Wagons, expressed his gratitude, stating, “We are honoured to receive this order from our esteemed partners, Ambuja Cements Limited and ACC Limited. This collaboration further strengthens our position in the market.” With this new order, Jupiter Wagons has seen a substantial increase in its order book, which now stands at approximately Rs 7,000 crore. This remarkable growth reflects the confidence and trust that the industry places in the company’s expertise in the field of railway wagon manufacturing. The company’s primary business involves the production of a wide range of railway wagons, wagon components, castings, and metal fabrications, including load bodies for commercial vehicles and rail freight wagons.

With manufacturing facilities located in Hooghly (West Bengal), Jabalpur (Madhya Pradesh), Indore (Madhya Pradesh), and Jamshedpur (Jharkhand), Jupiter Wagons is well-positioned to cater to the growing demand in the transportation and logistics sectors. In addition to securing these new orders, Jupiter Wagons reported robust financial performance for Q3 FY25. The company’s consolidated net profit surged by 19.51%, reaching Rs 97.34 crore, supported by a 14.96% increase in sales, which amounted to Rs 1,029.83 crore compared to the same period last year. The recent order from Ambuja Cement and ACC, two major players in the cement industry, not only bolsters Jupiter Wagons’ financial position but also reinforces its reputation as a leading manufacturer in the railway freight sector.
