Shahid and Mira Kapoor Rent Out ₹60 Crore Mumbai Apartment

Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor and his wife, Mira Kapoor, have entered into a lucrative rental agreement for their high-end apartment in the upscale Worli area of Mumbai. The couple, who had purchased the property for nearly ₹60 crore in May 2024, has now rented it out for ₹20 lakh per month for a period of five years.

The luxury apartment, located in Oberoi Realty’s prestigious Three Sixty West project, spans 5,395 square feet and boasts three parking spaces. It was rented to Dipan Bhuptani, a senior executive at D’Decor Home Fabrics, as confirmed by the property registration documents. The rental agreement, which was finalised on November 7, includes a tiered structure that begins at ₹20.5 lakh per month, gradually increasing to ₹23.98 lakh by the end of the five-year term. According to SquareYards, the property is expected to generate a solid rental yield of 4-5%, reflecting the growing appeal of luxury rentals in prime Mumbai locations like Worli. An interesting feature of this deal is the rent-free period of 10 months included in the agreement, which makes the lease even more attractive for the tenant.

Shahid and Mira’s luxury property is located on a higher floor of the sought-after Three Sixty West complex, which is known for offering spectacular views and high-end amenities. This apartment was originally purchased from Chandak Realtors Pvt Ltd, and the deal is part of a bulk purchase made by Radhakishan Damani’s family in February 2023, involving 28 apartments worth ₹1,238 crore. This further highlights the growing demand for elite real estate in Mumbai’s luxury segment. Shahid and Mira Kapoor are now part of a growing list of celebrities renting out their luxurious properties. This trend is also seen with other Bollywood stars like Kartik Aaryan, Ranveer Singh, and producer Sajid Nadiadwala, all of whom have entered the rental market with their premium properties.
