The penalties were levied after the regulatory body found that these developers had either failed to register their projects with RERA or had omitted crucial RERA registration numbers and QR codes from their advertisements. This action underscores the growing efforts by regulatory authorities to ensure that developers adhere to the standards set out under the Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act, 2016, a law aimed at safeguarding consumers and promoting transparency within the real estate sector.

The non-compliant developers affected by this penalty include both well-established names such as AIMS Promoters, Wave Mega City Centre, Ansal Housing Ltd, and others like Antriksh Realtech and ATS Realty. The fines imposed vary in amount based on the scale of the infraction, with developers penalised for each project advertised without proper registration. The mandatory inclusion of the RERA registration number and QR code in all promotional materials is not just a regulatory formality but an essential step in providing homebuyers with the transparency they deserve.
