Concord Control Systems Expands Into Flex PCB Manufacturing With Fusion Electronics Acquisition

Lucknow-based Concord Control Systems has announced the acquisition of Fusion Electronics Private Limited, marking a strategic expansion into India’s fast-growing flexible printed circuit board (PCB) manufacturing sector. The move positions Concord among the few domestic players capable of producing high-value electronics that cater to both industrial and mobility sectors.

Fusion Electronics, established in 1994, is recognised as one of India’s largest manufacturers of flexible PCBs, with an annual installed capacity of nearly 200,000 square metres. The company’s portfolio serves global clients in luxury automotive, industrial automation, and consumer electronics. According to industry officials, the business operates with robust profitability, recording EBITDA margins above 20 per cent and revenue potential of about ₹200 crore at full capacity utilisation.
A senior company representative said the acquisition aligns with Concord’s ambition to become a leading Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) provider with integrated capabilities across embedded systems, rail electronics, and industrial automation. “This acquisition enhances our ability to design and manufacture complex, value-added systems while strengthening India’s position in global supply chains,” the official added.

The company plans to fully operationalise its advanced manufacturing unit in Lucknow by the end of 2025 and double capacity within three years. The expanded infrastructure will include Surface Mount Technology (SMT) lines, box-build assembly, and precision testing capabilities  all crucial components of modern EMS operations. Industry experts believe the acquisition underscores the growing domestic capability in high-technology manufacturing, particularly as India seeks to reduce import dependence in electronics and create sustainable, localised supply ecosystems. “The Fusion deal reflects a broader trend of Indian manufacturers moving up the electronics value chain,” said a sector analyst. “It’s also a sign of how policy incentives under the government’s ‘Make in India’ and ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ programmes are encouraging long-term capital investment in advanced manufacturing.”

Beyond industrial growth, such moves carry implications for urban economies and skilled employment. As Concord expands its footprint, the company is expected to generate new jobs in high-precision manufacturing, design, and testing  strengthening Lucknow’s potential as a northern hub for sustainable and innovation-led industry. The Concord–Fusion integration represents not just a corporate merger but a step towards developing India’s self-reliant, technology-driven EMS ecosystem — essential to building resilient, future-ready urban economies.
