Hyderabad IREC 2026 Opens India To Global Real Estate

Hyderabad is hosting the seventh International Real Estate Conference (IREC 2026) from September 25 to 27, bringing developers, investors, policymakers, technology firms and property professionals from more than 35 countries to HITEX Exhibition Centre. It is the first time the biennial event is being held in India, placing the country’s rapidly expanding property market alongside international discussions on capital, technology, sustainability and future urban development.

IREC 2026 is expected to attract more than 2,000 industry participants, with over 75 speakers and 100 exhibitors and partners. The event is awarded to National Association of Realtors-India and is being operationally hosted by the Hyderabad Realtors Association. The programme combines a Global Conference, Innovation Showcase and Luxury Property Expo rather than limiting discussions to conventional property transactions. For India’s property sector, the international setting comes as investment decisions are increasingly influenced by technology, workplace changes and the performance of entire urban districts. The IREC 2026 agenda includes cross-border investment, artificial intelligence, PropTech, DeepTech, tokenisation, branded residences and new approaches to urbanism. Sessions also examine greenfield cities and sustainable development.

That agenda has implications beyond developers and investors. Large real estate investments can alter transport demand, housing costs, employment patterns and pressure on water, power, waste and drainage systems. Urban planners and infrastructure specialists increasingly view commercial expansion as part of a wider city system, where private construction needs to align with public infrastructure and environmental capacity. Hyderabad provides a significant setting for those discussions. Its technology-led economic growth has driven extensive development around western and north-western employment districts, while rising construction and commuting demand continue to test mobility and civic infrastructure. Hosting IREC 2026 gives the city a platform to present its property market internationally, but it also brings greater attention to how future growth is managed. The Innovation Showcase adds another dimension, with more than 100 technology exhibitors expected to demonstrate tools involving AI, smart infrastructure, digital platforms and data systems. For cities, the value of such technology will ultimately depend on whether it improves planning, resource efficiency, accessibility and everyday services rather than simply accelerating construction or property sales.

The IREC 2026 programme also creates space for international networking and property transactions through delegate meetings, networking areas and the exhibition. The conference runs through September 27, with the Global Conference and Innovation Showcase scheduled for September 26 and 27, while the Luxury Property Expo operates across all three days. As IREC 2026 brings global real estate interests into Hyderabad, the more consequential question will extend beyond investment volumes. The next phase of urban growth will be measured increasingly by whether capital, technology and development produce resilient districts, efficient infrastructure and cities that remain liveable as they expand.
