Birla Opus brings “Imagination In A Can” with the One Aero fast-dry aerosol paint range.

In a move that strengthens its growing footprint in India’s decorative paints sector, Birla Opus Paints, a division of the Aditya Birla Group’s Grasim Industries, has announced the launch of its latest product innovation  One Aero, an aerosol paint range engineered for superior performance, faster application, and enhanced user convenience.

Designed to cater to both professional contractors and do-it-yourself (DIY) enthusiasts, the One Aero range features a 15-minute fast-dry formula that ensures a smooth, even spray and a premium finish. The launch underscores Birla Opus Paints’ commitment to combining technology, safety, and consumer ease as it expands its product portfolio in India’s fast-evolving coatings market.

Company executives said the One Aero range was tested rigorously at 8 bar pressure to ensure complete safety and zero leakage  a benchmark for quality in the aerosol segment. Each 400 ml can offers excellent coverage and hiding power, while its ergonomic design enables consistent application.“Through this innovation, we aim to make high-quality paint solutions accessible to every customer, whether they are professionals or home users,” said a senior company executive. “One Aero represents our vision of ‘Duniya Ko Rang Do’  to make painting faster, safer, and more efficient.”

Unlike standard 12-can packaging, Birla Opus has adopted a 6-can carton strategy to optimise retail logistics and improve accessibility for smaller stores and individual consumers. The range is initially available in 11 shades, including popular hues such as White, Black, Golden Yellow, Silver, and Deep Orange, offering versatility for automotive touch-ups, furniture, and decorative projects alike.

In a first for the industry, the company is also offering a one-year warranty on each aerosol can   signalling strong confidence in its durability and product quality. Analysts note that this move sets a new benchmark in India’s decorative paint segment, where warranties on consumer paint products remain rare. The new range is available across Birla Opus Paint Studios and the brand’s growing franchisee network, with shade cards and product brochures available to support customer selection. Industry experts believe the launch could help Birla Opus strengthen its retail visibility and challenge established players by targeting both mass and premium market segments.

As India’s paint industry transitions towards innovation-led and sustainable product offerings, aerosol-based solutions like One Aero may play a vital role in driving efficiency, reducing waste, and promoting user-friendly painting methods. With its focus on design simplicity and performance reliability, Birla Opus Paints is positioning itself as a strong competitor in the country’s expanding decorative coatings landscape.
