India Aluminium Funding Supports Infrastructure Supply
India’s continued investment in infrastructure, industrial corridors, logistics parks and affordable housing is expected to sustain demand for aluminium products over the medium term. Urban planners note that reliable domestic production of critical construction materials reduces supply chain vulnerabilities while supporting timely execution of public infrastructure projects. However, the aluminium sector also faces significant sustainability challenges. Metal production remains highly energy intensive, placing greater emphasis on renewable electricity, resource efficiency and lower-carbon manufacturing technologies. Environmental specialists argue that future investment decisions will increasingly depend on how producers integrate cleaner energy sources, expand recycling capacity and reduce lifecycle emissions associated with primary aluminium production.
