A new 54-room hotel has opened in Mylanahalli near Kempegowda International Airport, adding to the growing concentration of hospitality facilities along Bengaluru’s northern airport corridor. The opening reflects continued demand for short-stay accommodation linked to aviation, business travel and the expanding employment base around the airport and aerospace cluster.

The property, Click Hotel Galaxy, is operated by Suba Hotels and is the company’s seventh operational hotel in Bengaluru, according to its current property listings. The group now has four properties under its Click Hotels brand in the city, alongside hotels operating under Choice Hotels brands.The hotel is located on New Airport Road in Mylanahalli, close to the airport. Its location places it within a development belt where aviation infrastructure, logistics, commercial activity and business travel are reshaping land use beyond Bengaluru’s traditional urban core.The new facility has 54 rooms across four categories, along with meeting and banquet spaces. Its food and beverage facilities include a multi-cuisine restaurant and round-the-clock room service. These facilities are aimed largely at travellers requiring convenient accommodation close to the airport and nearby employment centres.

The expansion also illustrates how Bengaluru’s hospitality market is following the city’s outward growth. Airport-linked development has created demand for hotels that can serve passengers, airline-related workers, corporate visitors, consultants and employees travelling between the airport and emerging business districts. For the city, however, the significance of such projects extends beyond additional hotel rooms. Northern Bengaluru is experiencing rapid development around the airport, increasing pressure on road connectivity, public transport, water supply, drainage and other urban services. New commercial uses can add economic activity and employment, but their long-term viability depends on whether supporting infrastructure keeps pace with development.The airport corridor is also increasingly sensitive to climate and mobility concerns. Large-scale construction and rising traffic can intensify heat, surface runoff and congestion if development is not matched by adequate green infrastructure, public transport and stormwater management.

Industry analysts have noted that Bengaluru’s decentralising business geography is creating new demand for accommodation outside established commercial districts. The hotel expansion therefore forms part of a wider shift towards mixed employment and service clusters around major transport gateways.For the Bengaluru airport corridor, the next challenge will be balancing investment with infrastructure capacity. As more hotels, offices and supporting businesses arrive, planning for reliable public transport, pedestrian access, water efficiency and climate resilience will become increasingly important to ensure that growth remains connected to the needs of workers and residents.
