The project reflects growing investment in religious tourism centres, where improved accommodation capacity is becoming increasingly important to support rising visitor numbers, local employment and regional economic development.

The proposed Welcomhotel Salasar is expected to expand the organised hotel inventory in the temple town, which attracts large volumes of pilgrims and domestic travellers throughout the year. Hospitality experts note that demand for professionally managed accommodation has been increasing across India’s spiritual tourism destinations as improved highways, rail connectivity and regional infrastructure encourage higher visitor footfall.
