Doka Asia Pacific Strengthens One-Stop Construction Services Across Growing Asian Markets

Doka Asia Pacific is strengthening its role as a regional hub for sustainable and technology-driven construction, expanding its formwork, scaffolding, and engineering solutions across key Asian markets. Based in Malaysia, the regional division of Doka aims to become a one-stop provider supporting Asia’s rapidly evolving urban infrastructure and housing landscape.

According to company officials, Doka’s integrated approach combines advanced formwork systems, digital technologies, and sustainability commitments to help developers, contractors, and governments deliver projects more efficiently and responsibly. “Our objective is to provide a network of adaptable, high-performance solutions tailored to the diverse construction needs across Asia,” a senior executive said.

The company’s recent acquisitions have positioned it to offer a wider range of capabilities. The 2024 acquisition of MFE Formwork Technology expanded Doka’s presence in monolithic aluminium formwork  a system known for its durability and waste reduction benefits in large-scale housing projects. Similarly, integrating Lubeca Jumpform has bolstered Doka’s expertise in high-rise construction, allowing the company to cater to Asia’s growing demand for vertical living and commercial towers.

A major milestone in this journey is the establishment of Innovation Hub Asia, where new products are being designed and produced locally for regional markets. These include innovations such as the DokaFit Handset and DokaFit Prop  lightweight yet robust systems aimed at enhancing on-site efficiency while reducing material consumption. At the upcoming bauma 2025 exhibition, Doka introduced Doka 360, a digital platform that connects project planning, ordering, and logistics in real time. The platform is expected to help contractors optimise schedules, improve worker safety, and cut down resource wastage  key components of the industry’s transition towards net zero operations.

Doka’s sustainability roadmap is underpinned by its commitment to achieving net-zero emissions by 2040. It has already measured and disclosed the carbon footprint of over 7,000 products and remains the first company in its sector to align with the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). Experts note that such transparent reporting and measurable climate action are increasingly becoming prerequisites for sustainable infrastructure finance in Asia.

Founded in 1958, Doka operates in 58 countries and employs nearly 9,000 professionals under the Austria-based Umdasch Group. Its Asia Pacific division now plays a critical role in driving construction innovation across fast-growing economies such as India, Malaysia, and Vietnam  regions where rapid urbanisation demands greener, safer, and smarter building technologies. As Asia scales up its infrastructure ambitions, Doka’s evolving ecosystem of digital, modular, and low-carbon solutions reflects a broader shift towards resilient, inclusive, and sustainable construction practices shaping the region’s future cities.
